Location

Kalami is located just 45 miniutes drive from Corfu airport on the beautiful north east coast. Often referred to as Kensington on Sea the area is ideal for the person who seeks a relaxed, unhurried, stress free location.

Kalami is a sheltered horseshoe bay surrounded by green hills and olive groves. A small quiet village with all the amenities you require including tavernas, bars, supermarket and child friendly pool bar. Its safe blue flag pebble beach is ideal for snorkelling. A small family run waterpsorts centre provides waterski (tuition available) ringo and hotrod rides. Canoes, paddleboards, pedalos and small boats are also easy to hire and a popular way to explore nearby coves and beaches.

Well known for the 'White House' home of the writer Lawrence Durrell from 1935-1939 and his inspiration for 'Prospero's Cell. The White House is now one of the three seafront tavernas in the village.

A car is not essential and there is a local bus service for those more adventurous. The neighbouring bays of Kouloura and Agni are within walking distance but the area is very hilly. An evening water taxi service to Agni provides a unique and memorable way to visit your favourite taverna for dinner.

Kassiopi, a busy working fishing port, is approxImately. 15 minutes drive or by local bus. This popular tourist destination will be appreciated by anyone looking for a livelier nightlife or a day trip for gifts and souvenirs.

Vibrant Corfu Town is just 45 minutes drive but far easier and more enjoyable to visit by water taxi. Day and evening trips are available and leave from the jetty immediately in front of the house.

Old Perithia. An abandoned 14th century village hidden in a fold of Corfu's highest mountain. The 130 houses and churches are now a heritage site which is gradually being restored.

Agios Stephanos is a very pretty village around a small fishing harbour. Waterfront tavernas dot the quayside. Nearby Kerasia beach offers excellent swimming.
